The Best Human Hair Wigs For Black Women

Cheap human hair wigs for black women that look natural are not very easy to find today. Lots of women are actually fighting back with hair loss which is brought about due to old age, cancer or stress. Wigs are manufactured by different companies worldwide but only few look natural and real.

There are actually lots of factors to consider for black women to get the right and the best wig to wear. If you are planning to get one for yourself, you must determine first the reasons behind it, whether is it for daily use or is it only for fashion.

There are many hair wig types that are available for you through online stores. One of the perfect wig types for you is one which is made of human hair.

Though this may be more expensive than synthetic hair, human hair can last four times as long as synthetic fibres. With this, you can do different hair styles like curling and waving hair with the use of blow dryer or a curler, you can also do any hair styles of your choice that will make you look naturally beautiful.

Compared to human hair wigs, the synthetic ones are cheaper. They will also look natural on you but the only drawback is that when used you cannot use hot irons as they will damage the hair. Synthetic hair wigs have to be handled with care by avoiding curlers and dryers because once heated, it will get burned and damage.

When looking to get the best and natural wig for black women, also take into consideration custom made wigs. They are individually designed and created to match you for a perfect fit. All hair wig types have to be handled with care especially when they are worn for daily use to keep it looking fresh and new. Choosing the right wig is essential to making you feel beautiful and confident whilst wearing it.

Erin's Gatsby Dress

A couple of months ago, I listed these beaded fragments from a 1920s flapper dress in my SewHallie shop on Etsy.  Longtime Couture Allure fan, blogger, and home sewer Erin bought them right away.

And baby, look at them now!  Erin needed a dress for a creative black tie event at the zoo where she volunteers.  She used the dress fragments for the skirt panels and the belt on her flapper style dress she sewed for the party.

You can read more about Erin's dress and how she made it over at Sew Weekly.  Erin, thank you for giving new life to these pieces of history.  You look fabulous!

Wear a Fur Muff with Your Vintage Suit - 1954

Note: I am a firm believer that if you chose to wear fur, you should always chose vintage. That keeps coats and stoles already in existence out of our landfills and at the same time doesn't support the unneeded slaughter of today's animals for fashion. In showing images of vintage furs on this blog, I hope to inspire you and show you how beautiful they can be for the modern woman.

Christian Dior suit with a fox fur muff and wide brimmed hat.
There's something about the look of a fur muff when worn with a vintage suit that adds just the right finishing touch. All of these images are of couture suits from the fall of 1954.

Pierre Balmain plaid suit with a Persian lamb collar and muff.

Nina Ricci suit trimmed in Persian lamb fur and worn with a Persian lamb muff.
Prefer to not wear real fur?  There are lots of vintage patterns available to make your own muff out of faux fur, but you don't really need a pattern.  Here's a great tutorial on how to make a muff at home!
